Charger Families:School districts across Ohio have received an email containing an unspecified bomb threat. It did not mention any specific school districts or buildings. Edison was one of many that received the communication. We immediately contacted all three of the law enforcement agencies that have jurisdiction over our schools and have been in communication with them as well as many area districts. Local law enforcement has been working with their federal partners as well. There is no credible connection to our schools or our community. The Edison Local School District will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow and will have an increased law enforcement presence. Please know that we remain committed to our school district’s safety and work closely with law enforcement to respond to any potential threats. Thank you,Corey ReamSuperintendent

Project Happy was started to bring Christmas gifts to kids in need in Erie/Huron counties. Shoeboxes arecollected and delivered to families in our communities right before Christmas. Families at Edison MiddleSchool are challenged to help us pack shoeboxes or shoebox sized totes with little Christmas gifts and toiletriesfor a child in need. Once we receive the donations from each grade level (see attached document for the list), we will pack the shoeboxes. Students bringing in donations will be entered into a drawing for a chanceto be able to participate in the “wrap party” to get the gifts wrapped and ready for pick-up on December 19th.Collection will end on December 15th. Go to www.ohgoreach.org for more information. We were able to pack 160 boxes last year and hope to be able to contribute even more this year! Help our school reach our goal of 200 boxes! For more information, contact Marlene Putnam, School Counselor at [email protected] or at 419-499-3000. Like and follow OHgo on Facebook @ohgo and twitter @wheresohgo to watch the kindness spread!
