Morning Announcements - Friday, April 17, 2026

The EMS cafeteria will be serving fresh baked pizza or Daily Grab & Go,mini Italian salad, goldfish, fruit choice and milk for lunch today.

The weather report for today is partly sunny and pleasant with a high of 65.

Today’s trivia question is: How much does a typical cumulus cloud weigh?

Fun Night is from 6:30-8:30pm cost $3.School rules and dress code will be enforced. Leave your cell phone at phone. You don’t need it. Bring extra money if you want to participate in the Dodgeball game and/or the 3-point shoot.

Attention all current 4th grade students: On April 21st at 7pm in the middle school band room there will be a meeting about joining band.

Attention all students interested in playing Edison 7th and 8th grade football next fall:  There will be a meeting for all interested players in the cafeteria on Tuesday, April 21st at 2:30.  An announcement will be made to call you the cafeteria at the time of the meeting.  Please plan to attend!

Just a friendly reminder to the 7th grade class, that your money, tickets and unsold calendars are to be handed in on Thursday, April 23. If you need more calendars, let Mr. LaCivita, Mrs. Bishop or the main office know.

The Boys and Girls Track Teams traveled to Willard on Monday where both teams defeated the Willard Flashes. The girls won with the score of 90 to 31 and the boys won with the score of 66 to 51. The girl’s 4x800 team took first place with the team of Addison McDonnell, Madison Moon, Penny Stoll, and Jillian Chase. Liam Butler took 1st in the 110 hurdles. In the 100 Kris Raymore took 3rd, Micah Luttrell-2nd, and Coltin Hohler was first. For the girls: Kaley Coleman was 3rd, Kennady Robertson-2nd, and Evelyn Grady was 1st. Both the boys and girls 4x200 relays finished first with the teams of Liam Butler, Jude, Manrow, Kris Raymore, and Cooper Scheaffer for the boys, and August Hines, Delaney Marshall, Reese Wells, and Camilla Daniels for the girls. The boys 4x100 took first and a PR with the team of Coltin Hohler, Jude Manrow, Ty Nickel, and Austin Quillen. Max Baker and Reese Wells both won the 400. Saxon O’Neal and Liam Butler won the 200 hurdles. Jillian Chase took 2nd in the 800 with her best time. While Zeke Rutger won the boys 800. Quilla Webb and Coltin Hohler both won the 200 with their best times. The girls 4x400 place 1st with a PR with the team of Addison McDonnell, Madison Moon, Camilla Daniels, and Jillian Chase. Reese Wells won the High Jump, and Evelyn Grady won the long jump. Jon Senko took 1st in disc. August Hines won the shot with her best throw.

Congratulations to the following Charger P.R.I.D.E. winners for this week. These students should report to Mr. Smith’s office at this time to pick out their reward.

The trivia answer is that a typical cumulus cloud weighs approximately 500 tonnes, which is about the same as a jumbo jet.
