Morning Announcements - Thursday, April 16, 2026

The EMS cafeteria will be serving a toasted cheese sandwich, or Daily Grab & Go, tomato soup, carrots & dip, fruit choice and milk for lunch today.

The weather report for today is mostly cloudy, windy and very warm with a high of 74.

Today’s trivia question is: What is a grilled cheese sandwich called when you add other ingredients like bacon or tomato?

Fun Night! Fun Night! It’s tomorrow, April 17 from 6:30-8:30pm with admission cost of only a $3. School rules and dress code will be enforced. Leave your cell phone at phone. You don’t need it. To participate in the Dodgeball game, you need to sign up and pay an additional dollar when you enter the building. You will be assign to a team. The players on the winning team will each receive $2. Bring extra money if you wish to participate in the 3-point shoot and/or the half court shoot. Every try costs $1.00. In the cafeteria, musical chairs, hot potato, coin toss, a trivia challenge and dancing. That sounds like fun!

The 4th grade students are taking their ELA State today. Let’s be quiet in the hallways during testing.

As the weather warms up, remember: shorts and skirts must be fingertip-length. When your arms are at your sides with fingers straight, your clothing should extend past your fingertips. Check before you head out—and let’s keep it school-appropriate.

"Any 8th grade boy wanting to play freshman basketball next year, there will be a meeting with Coach Campana in the health room on Friday at 7:30 am to discuss spring/summer schedules.  Please contact Coach Campana via email if more information is needed before Friday."

Congratulations to the following Charger P.R.I.D.E. winners for this week.  These students should report to Mr. Smith’s office at this time:
4th Grade - Briggs Komlosi and Jamesen Platte
5th Grade - Alice Simon and George Sharp
6th Grade - Cooper Smith and Briella Crabtree
7th Grade - Sam Ruggles and Emmalee Seville
8th Grade - Landon Capizzi and Landon Price
We would also like to congratulate this week’s staff Charger P.R.I.D.E. winners - Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Schnittker!  Thanks for all you do for us.

The trivia answer is that when you add other ingredients to a traditional grilled cheese sandwich it becomes a “melt”.

We would like to close with this quote from singer Dolly Parton:

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”
