Morning Announcements - Monday, March 16, 2026
The cafeteria will be serving a crispy chicken drumstick with a pretzel rod, or Daily Grab & Go, cheesy potatoes, fruit choice and milk for lunch today.
The weather report for today is rainy, windy and temperatures getting colder.
Today’s trivia question is: How much did the largest potato according to the Guinness Book of World Records weigh?
It is looking better but we are still in need of donations for the fundraising calendar. The very last date for donations to be handed in will be tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17. Drop them off to the main office or give to Mrs. Bishop or Mr. LaCivita.
Don’t forget about the Penny Wars for the 6th, 7th & 8th graders. It runs through March 18. Pennies will be added to the total and count as 2
cents each. Nickels and dimes add to the total. Quarters and one dollar bills subtract. Remember the grade that has the largest amount collected will be rewarded to a make your own sundae event.
Don’t forget to wear something green or shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow.
The trivia answer is that the largest potato ever grown weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
We would like to close with this quote from comedian Carol Burnett: “Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.”
We hope you enjoy watching and listening to our announcements.
