Edison Local Schools is currently hiring school bus drivers. We currently have a part-time route available with benefits.
Our part-time schedules work extremely well for:
- Semi-retirees looking to add some routine and meaning to their lives
- Self-employed individuals looking to supplement their income
- Parents looking to spend more time with their children
- Anyone who would like to make money while attending school sporting events
- People looking for off season work
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a good driving history
- Must be reliable for both Morning and Afternoon shifts
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Must pass our training program which we provide
- Must pass a FBI & BCII background check

Welcome Back, EHOVE Families!
Welcome back for the 2026–2027 school year! We would like to provide our EHOVE families with some important information regarding transportation on days when Edison Local Schools is not in session.
Transportation on Scheduled Edison Non-School Days
Edison Local Schools will continue to provide transportation to and from EHOVE on our scheduled non-school days, including staff development days and other days when Edison students are not in session.
We also have four scheduled 2-hour delay days during the school year:
Friday, September 25
Friday, December 11
Friday, February 26
Friday, April 23
On these scheduled days off or 2-hour delay days, EHOVE students will be transported according to the following schedule:
Morning Transportation
Edison Middle School: Bus pickup will be no later than 7:15 a.m.
Edison High School: Bus pickup will be no later than 7:30 a.m.
A bus will be available at both locations to transport students to EHOVE.
Afternoon Transportation
An Edison school bus will be included in the EHOVE bus lineup to transport Edison students home at the conclusion of the school day.
Weather-Related Delays and Calamity Days
Weather-related 2-hour delays and school closures are handled differently.
If Edison Local Schools announces a 2-hour delay due to weather, we will transport EHOVE students two hours later than our normal scheduled transportation time.
If Edison Local Schools is closed due to weather, we will not provide transportation to EHOVE that day.
We will not transport students to other schools during a weather-related delay or closure until Edison Local Schools' transportation operation resumes.
