Morning Announcements for Thursday, September 24th

After a 3-hour marathon match, the Girls tennis team honored Scarlett Bennett on senior night with the team's first victory of the season, beating the Bluestreaks 3-2! Winning for the team at singles were Scarlett Bennett and Katie O’Hara, and at doubles was the team that sealed the victory was made up of Teagan Farell and Audree Martin! Great job, ladies, on getting the win! Go Chargers!!

Morning Announcements for Wednesday, September 23rd

This Friday, we will have a two-hour delay! There will be a coffee truck in the parking lot from 7 am to 10 am! Grab a drink and support Student Council!

All students must be in their first period on time!

The Edison Lady Chargers battled Galion to a 2-2 draw Monday night, moving their season record to 4-3-1. Edison struck first just five minutes into the match when Ella Rogers found the back of the net on a direct free kick. Galion answered before halftime, sending the teams into the break tied 1-1. Galion took a 2-1 lead just a few minutes into the second half, but once again the Chargers responded. Edison continued to pressure the Galion defense throughout the match and eventually found the equalizer with just eight minutes remaining when Gia Heater buried a rebound following a save by the Galion goalkeeper. The Chargers also turned in a strong defensive performance, with Natalie Mees making eight saves in goal. Edison will return to conference play Wednesday, Sept. 23, when the Chargers host Clyde at 7 p.m. at Freedom Field.

Friday: Charger Spirit (All of the orange and blue you own!!)

Morning Announcements for Friday, September 18th

The varsity volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-11, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18. Macari Harris led the team at the net with 17 kills, followed by Reese Wells with 9 kills and Abby Cloud and Peyton Werner with 8 kills each. Peyton Bissell had 32 assists, 11 digs, and 8 points. Paisley Keefer led the defense with 26 digs, and Reese Wells had 19 digs. Mabel Stoll added 6 digs, 3 points, and 2 aces. Abby Cloud led the team with 17 points, including 2 aces.

The JV volleyball team beat Port Clinton 25-17, 25-17. Megan Thompson had 14 points, and Morgan Handshoe served 7 points.
