WELCOME TO THE TREASURER'S DEPARTMENT!

The Edison Local School District is committed to fiscal responsibility and transparency in all financial transactions. The Treasurer serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the district and reports directly to the Board of Education. The Treasurer and the office staff work in conjunction with the Superintendent to support the educational mission and programming of the district.

The Treasurer's Office oversees the financial operations of the District and is responsible for all accounting and payroll functions. The District is audited annually by the Auditor of State and the audit reports are available on the Auditor of State website. The Treasurer is responsible for preparing the District's annual tax budget and the Five-Year Forecast.

Report fraud

The Edison Local School District and the Auditor of State take allegations of fraud in government seriously. The Ohio State Auditor's office will review all tips and complaints of suspected fraud. Auditor of state award

Edison Local School District was honored for achieving accounting excellence for Fiscal Year 2019! The Auditor of State's office audits nearly 5900 entities and fewer than 8% of all entities that are audited are even eligible for this award. The Auditor of State award is presented to school districts and local governments upon the completion of a financial audit that meet all the criteria of a "clean" audit report. A clean audit report cannot include any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings, or questioned costs.

This award represents the hard work that ALL of our Edison Local Schools employees strive for to achieve excellence in accounting and the management of public funds and the Treasurer's office staff for their dedication to making the audit process seamless!
