The Edison Lady Chargers put together their most complete offensive performance of the young season Wednesday night, defeating Old Fort 6-0 to even their season record at 2-2. Emma Lesniak led the way offensively for Edison, scoring twice, including one goal from the penalty spot. Sophia Chaput, Juliana Johnson, Kailyn Dickman and August Hines each added a goal to round out the Chargers’ scoring. Evelyn Hill and Ellie Heater each contributed an assist in the victory. Edison posted its second shutout of the season. Natalie Mees recorded the clean sheet in goal, making two saves as the Chargers limited Old Fort’s offensive opportunities. The win moves Edison to 2-2 on the season and gives the Chargers some positive momentum heading into the start of league play. Edison will open conference play Sept. 10 when the Chargers travel to Perkins (7 pm).
