After a 3-hour marathon match, the Girls tennis team honored Scarlett Bennett on senior night with the team's first victory of the season, beating the Bluestreaks 3-2! Winning for the team at singles were Scarlett Bennett and Katie O’Hara, and at doubles was the team that sealed the victory was made up of Teagan Farell and Audree Martin! Great job, ladies, on getting the win! Go Chargers!!
The Edison Lady Chargers battled Clyde to a 2-2 draw Wednesday night, extending their positive stretch to four straight matches and moving their record to 4-3-2 (1-1-1 in conference play). Edison took a 1-0 lead into halftime when Gia Heater finished at the far post off a pass from Kailyn Dickman with just over two minutes remaining in the half. The Chargers continued to pressure Clyde in the second half, and Ellie Heater gave Edison a 2-1 lead midway through the half after dribbling past her defender on the right side and sending a shot over the goalkeeper. Clyde eventually found the equalizer, but Edison continued to battle until the final whistle. Natalie Mees made two saves and showed tremendous toughness throughout the match, while the entire defense turned in another strong performance. The draw marks Edison's fourth straight positive result as the Chargers continue to battle and put pressure on opponents throughout each match. Edison returns to action Saturday, Sept. 26, hosting Loudonville at 10 a.m. at Bolt Field.

The Sophomores are not out of the running yet; with 99 points, they are right on your heels, Class of 2030
and our Seniors may be in last place, but that big score of 20 points from attendance certainly keeps them in the title hunt.

The BGSU Firelands scholarship application opens to admitted students on Oct. 1 via student MyBGSU portals. All admitted students are eligible to submit the application for scholarships through February 26th.
