May 2026 - Alex Davidson

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Alex Davidson is the May Student of the Month at Edison High School.  Alex has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities. Alex’s activities: Soccer (1st Team All-Ohio, All Great Lakes Region Team, District Player of the Year, Conference Player of the Year, 1st Team District, 1st Team Conference, Captain, Senior All-Star Player of the Game, and All-Academic SBC). Soccer records broken - goals in a game (8), goals in a season (60), goals in a career (101), assists in a season (29); Football (Kicker – 3rd Team All-Ohio, 1st Team District, 1st Team Conference and All-Academic SBC). Football records broken – highest extra point percentage in a season (100%), most field goals in a career (10 – tied), National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, Honor Roll, and National Honor Society.Alex plans to attend the University of Findlay, majoring in Engineering, as well as playing soccer. Alex is the son of Michael and Amanda Davidson of Norwalk, Ohio.

Ezri Rutger

April 2026 - Ezri Rutger

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Ezri Rutger is the April Student of the Month at Edison High School.
 
Ezri has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Ezri’s activities:  Varsity Cheer (Captain, Most Spirited, UCA All America, UCA “Pin It Forward” Award, 4-year varsity award, competition cheer); Chargerettes; Key Club Vice-President; Interact Club Co-President; National Honor Society Treasurer; Spanish Club; Spanish Honor Society; Model UN; ROX; Sources of Strength; Student of the Quarter (Language Arts and EHOVE); Class Officer (Secretary); All-Academic Award Recipient; Dance (Student Mentorship Award); Climate Leaders Fellowship.

Ezri will be attending The Ohio State University, majoring in Exercise Science, with hopes of eventually earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  Ezri is the daughter of Stephanie Bradley of Milan and William Rutger of Norwalk, Ohio.

Christina Arnold

March 2026 - Christina Arnold

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Christina Arnold as the March Student of the Month at Edison High School.
     
Christina has been chosen for her contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Christina’s school activities: Drama Club (head of set crew for Peter Pan); Interact Club; Key Club; ASL Club Officer; National Honor Society; Spanish Honor Society; Drama Club (received Outstanding Creativity Award and varsity letter); honor roll member; Student of the Quarter recipient; International Thespian Society; Kelleys Island Landowner’s Society member (a non-profit charity for the betterment of Kelleys Island; visual artist (art is Christina’s greatest passion in life).
 
Christina plans to attend college majoring in Biology.  She would like to earn her master’s degree also studying in the field of genetic research and evolution.  Christina is the daughter of Chris Arnold and Yi Chen Lo of Berlin Heights, Ohio.

February 2026 - Tyler Pounds

The Berlin Heights Kiwanis are pleased to announce Tyler Pounds is the February Student of the Month at Edison High School.
     
Tyler has been chosen for his contributions to Edison High School and the Berlin Heights and Milan communities.  Tyler’s school activities:  Track; Varsity Golf (received Most-Improved and Coach’s Awards); Drama Club (received 2 Outstanding Performance, 1 Outstanding Creativity Awards, lead roles in 3 plays, set and light crew member); International Thespian Society member; Choir (section leader and senior representative, Student of the Quarter, 1 rating in Solo & Ensemble); Show Choir; Teen Leadership Corps and Publications videographer and photographer; honor roll recipient; 2025 Homecoming King; Boy Scouts (Senior Patrol Leader of Berlin Heights Scouting America Troop 236, earned Order of the Arrow, Brotherhood and Eagle Scout Rank in 2025); Sound Tech / Livestream Technician at Norwalk Alliance Church; Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum tour guide; 4H (Health & Safety Leader for Northside Country Kids 4H Club and received 1st Place at the State Fair in cooking).
 
Tyler plans to attend college to study Film Production and Directing with a goal to be recognized and respected as a professional in the film industry. Tyler is the son of Brian and Stephanie Pounds of Norwalk, Ohio.
